Adrian Banarescu
Research and Analysis Manager
Adrian Banarescu leads the Research and Analysis Department. He leverages more than 15 years of data analytics and technology experience in assisting corporate and government clients in responding to large-scale data, software development and enterprise system issues. Adrian brings a unique perspective and cutting-edge data solutions to assist clients with dispute and investigation matters, incorporating advanced technologies and pragmatic solutions to reach fast, successful outcomes.
Prior to joining the firm, Adrian served as Internal Control Director with Electrica SA, one of Romania’s largest power energy producers. Before that, he headed the anti-fraud intelligence analysis department within Romania’s Tax Administration Agency. He also held key positions with various data analytics and technology departments within several law enforcement agencies.
His career at Interdiligence encompasses advising peers and clients on a variety of issues where data and enterprise systems play a central role. These issues relate to financial and commercial frauds requiring large amounts of data processing, multidisciplinary audits, market entry risk assessments, business competitive intelligence gathering and analysis projects.
Adrian received a PhD from the Romanian National Institute of Economic Research.
His post-doctorate publications include his work on “Detecting and Preventing Fraud with Data Analytics’‘, “Modern Techniques for Detecting and Preventing Fraud” and “Proposals for Implementing Data Analysis Solutions for Fraud Detection”.
